In the Rolex Sydney Hobart 2012 race, the FIRST 40, "Lunchtime Legend," secured the overall win in the IRC Div 3. Before the start of the race, skipper Robert Robertson was dead set on winning this year. "Robbo" kept his word and won the race ahead of the seven other First 40s — almost a one-design class! The podium was completed by "Brannew," another First 40, and "Peugeot Surfrider," a First 45 which also placed 2nd in the ORCi Div 2. There was a fierce competition between the First 40s, similar to the previous winners in 2009. "Two True" and "Wicked" finished within a 1 mm gap after four days of racing. A big congratulations and thank you to all the crews who placed their trust in Beneteau by choosing the winning FIRST series.
